ECA from MCC
Physicians (NOC 3111 or NOC 3112)
If your primary occupation is specialist physician (NOC 3111) or general practitioner/family physician (NOC 3112), the Medical Council of Canada must do an ECA for your primary medical diploma.
The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) can only produce ECA reports for medical degree/diplomas and transcripts. The MCC does not produce ECA reports for specialty certificates
An ECA report can be requested only if you meet the following requirements:
-
You are an international medical graduate
-
You have already had your final medical degree/diploma source verified by the Medical Council of Canada (MCC).
Note: Under the Express Entry system, you must have your final medical degree/diploma source verified by the MCC before you can request an ECA report. However, if your medical degree transcript has already been source verified — and your transcript clearly confirms that your degree was awarded and the date it was awarded — you can proceed directly with your ECA request even if your degree/diploma has not yet been source verified.
